More Statistics, Yet Still No Strategy...

Suicide is the single biggest killer of men aged 20-45 in the UK, with men accounting for 78% of all suicides. By concentrating on a cohort of middle aged men within mental health services, the NCISH report addresses only 1/4 of male suicides in the UK. This report is a great start, but the unanswered question here is why are men, for the most part, not even considering asking for help?

UK hip hop star, Professor Green, will be hosting January’s BBC Lifeline Appeal on behalf of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), with the aim of raising awareness of male suicide, the single biggest killer of men 20-45 in the UK.
