Suicide is the single biggest killer of men aged 20-45 in the UK, with men accounting for 78% of all suicides. By concentrating on a cohort of middle aged men within mental health services, the NCISH report addresses only 1/4 of male suicides in the UK. This report is a great start, but the unanswered question here is why are men, for the most part, not even considering asking for help?
